“HUGS” all around for the Holidays!
This year has been hard on many people. The HUGS foundation, located here in Westhampton Beach, shows their kindness by helping the community in many ways.
Due to the holidays around the corner, the HUGS foundation placed Christmas trees at Rogers Beach in Westhampton and at Webby’s beach in Center Moriches.
The trees are placed at the entrance of the beach with a bucket under it filled with shells so visitors can write their names or draw a picture. This is also a great spot to take photos! This tree is a way to spread positivity during the holiday season and during these tough times.
The HUGS foundation doesn’t just spread kindness during the holidays. HUGS is an organization that serves the youth of Suffolk County; they provide prevention education strategies aimed at high-risk behaviors. Some of the activities the foundation takes part in is weekend long seminars, day long workshops, and assemblies are offered to schools and communities upon request on drug education.
This is a great way of helping those in need and the community. Happy Holidays WHB!
