Twins Takeoff Together
June 18, 2020
After losing their senior season due to complications with the CoronaVirus, Drew and Clay are off to Upstate New York to play collegiate lacrosse. After living together for 18 years they are now going to be only 30 minutes away from each other.
The Arcuri boys have had a long journey to college lacrosse. Andrew plans to play Division 1 at Siena College after being a 4-year starter on varsity at WHB. Clayton is going to Union College to continue his lacrosse career as a Dutchman.
Clay says, “It would have been great to play out my senior season.”
Andrew adds, “I was looking forward to senior night and just having fun playing ball.”
Although the Arcuri twins are leaving WHB, they, and the rest of the seniors will always be remembered for their hard work throughout the winter to get prepared for an expected playoff run.
Clay plans to major in mechanical engineering in hopes of helping out the United States military aircraft. Drew wants to major in education and someday hopes to be a professional lacrosse player and college lacrosse coach.
As their brother, I feel that they deserve a little thank you message…I just want to say how grateful I am for my two brothers. You guys have always pushed me to be my best and to never give up. You have set an example for me on how to act and Andrew you sometimes taught me how NOT to act. All jokes aside, I just want to wish you the best of luck in college and in life. Words cannot express how much you truly mean to me.

Wow , how time flies. It seemed like only yesterday that looking across the field I saw this big guy walking from the parking lot with two little boys walking behind him carry a bag that ways bigger than both of them. I said to myself this Dad is teaching them right, if your going to play the game than you must carry your own equipment to the field. In that day and age I said to myself I have to go say hello to these people. It turned out to be one of the best choices of my life, I got to meet Clayton, Andrew and Craig Arcuri. I got to see those boys grow into great young men as well as lacrosse players. I am so proud of those boys as well as young grasshopper brother Gavin who is following in his brother’s footsteps. As they say the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree both parents Janine and Craig have raised them giving the guidance and tools they needed throughout their lives. I am so proud to consider you all as part of our family and look forward to watching the future journeys that you life will take you. Couch G
