Speed Skater Sullivan
All skating is hard but not for James Sullivan. He has loved to skate since he was young. It takes a lot of focus and concentration to skate. Patience is always the answer when on blades.
When asked how he got involved with speed skating he explains “I was at a rink in a Stafford Virginia named Cavalier and was 7 years old. I was skating around a rink at a open secession for my first time and had natural talent so much that the speed skating coach noticed it and followed it back to my parents and asked me to join the speed team”. You always have a favorite part of a talent you have and James states what he loves most “Traveling to different countries and different states doing what I love to do and making new friends that last for lifetime.”
When asked what Countries he has attended he stated “ Spain, France, and Italy”. When trying to relax yourself, it’s difficult before a big meet or game this is James special way he says “I usually do dry land and jog outside the rink to get a sweat going and then comes back in to do ballistic stretching.” When talented why not set a goal for yourself James says “I got a level 1 coaching license for 7-12 and would like to coach and bring people into the sport is really my main goal”.
When asked to add anything to this article James say’s “I have 3 brothers that I love very much. We get to compete together and push each other the best that we can be.” much and they are all into skating and they get to compete together and push each other the best we can be!”
