Ball is Life
He shoots and… he scores. Senior Cory Gaudiello has been playing basketball since he was in first grade. He stayed with this sport for all these years because he is very passionate about the sport.
Cory got his love for basketball from his parents and his grandpa who also loved and played the sport. He adds that his favorite part about basketball is, “getting buckets” which also means shooting a basketball.
Cory has played for our WHB basketball team for all four years of his high school career. When he was in ninth grade he broke his wrist while on the team; then started back up in 10th grade and continued playing for 11th grade and just started this season in his senior year.
Cory plays guard for our school team. There are two types of guards, the point guard and the shooting guard, and he plays both. He explained, “the point guard brings the ball up and calls the plays, and the shooting guard is someone who tends to take the shots”.
You can always find Cory practicing shooting some hoops in his driveway or practicing with the team after school. Cory is a dedicated hard-working player.
