The doubles team of Bobby Stabile and Giancarlo Volpe have dominated their opponents this year and have now cruised to states.

Bobby, junior at WHB, has dominated in his long tennis career, this being his third time to counties. Some of his keys to success this year include, “Doubles practice, lifting in the gym and running.”

Giancarlo, sophomore at WHB, is a strong up-and-coming tennis player who is “grateful Bobby asked me to join him on his long doubles journey.”

Giancarlo and Bobby are new partners this year and their success isn’t a fluke. “I wouldn’t want to play with anyone else at this level” is how Giancarlo feels about the partnership.

Another key to their success this year has been their communication. Bobby explained how “working together and being in sync for each serve and volley” was vital to their success.

As expectations go for next year, both boys believe that they will earn the county title and place even better in states than they did this year.

Their success is far from finished. They will be back at it next year, wish them the best of luck!
