With prom season in full swing, girls need help finding prom dresses. Whether it’s shopping in person or shopping online, prom dresses are hard to find. Here are some places to help you find the perfect prom dress. 

One of many places on Long Island is Estelle’s. Located around an hour away from here in Farmingdale, Estelle’s has many options for an affordable price. WHBHS sophomore Antonella Russo, who attended ESM Prom, said “Estelle’s was amazing and had so many options it was hard to pick.”

With her dress coming in at $65, she tried on six options before finding her perfect dress. Although they did not have her size in store, she was able to order her size online. It only took a week to come in and was perfect!

Have no luck at Estelles? Take the 30 minute drive from Estelle’s to Dress Gala in Commack to try-on some more. At Dress Gala no appointment is needed prior to arrival which from WHB is around an hour away. WHBHS junior Peyton Worby described it as “so crowded with options that I could barely walk.” 

Peyton also said options ranged from from short to long and many were on sale. Peyton bought her dress on sale for $250 but needed alteration which cost around $70. 

Buying online was very popular for this year’s junior prom. WHBHS sophomore Brie Provenzano ordered her dress from Arcina Ori. Brie was in a rush and needed to find a dress fast and luckily her dress came in a week. Although her dress was on the pricier side, at $350, Brie said, “It was very good quality.” Brie also needed to get it altered at Rico’s Clothing in Center Moriches and it took them about a day. 

There are many other options to buy prom dresses. If looking for an in-person experience you can go to Omnibus in Babylon or Ask Alice in Syosset. Also online websites such as Revolve and Lucy in the Sky have many options to choose from. Hope this helps solve your prom dress problems!
