The Raynor twins, juniors Susan and Amelia, spend their winter season cheering for Gravity Cheer, an all star competition team on Long Island.

Susan and Amelia spend about eight hours a week at cheer practice and many of their weekends are spent in different states at competitions.

However they had to take a break from cheering for WHB this season. Susan says, “I miss school cheer but it was very stressful doing both school and competition.”

Amelia says, “I miss hanging out with the team and having fun but I have more time on her hands to focus on school now.”

Amelia says she dedicates so much time to cheer because she loves winning competitions and she hopes to cheer in college. Susan is hoping to win Submit, a national competition in Florida later this year.

Susan and Amelia both agreed that they are very excited for the next season for WHB Varsity cheer and can’t wait to come back for football!
