With a new season comes new clothes and new trends. What are WHB’s favorites?
This upcoming season “hipster” has become very popular. According to Seventeen magazine, hipsters generally wear “high wasted shorts, crop tops, huge glasses, etc.”
Most of the WHB students I interviewed said they can’t wait to be at the beach. Junior Taylor Jenkins is excited to wear her new Victoria Secret bathing suit and sophmore Carly Bossung agreed looks forward to wearing her pink bandeau bathing suit. Senior Evando Bomtempo says he can’t wait to wear his “rock hard abs.”
Glamour says that this season’s favorite colors and patterns are yellows, pastels, floral, shiny, and lots of sequins! Many celebrities are already rocking the new trends, like Mila Kunis, who wore a shiny black ensemble to the golden globes awards. “My favorite are sequins; they’re so fun- any shirt can have it and it’ll look good,” says Sophmore Brenna Hogan.
Don’t forget to pay attention to your shoes. Shoes are a very important part of an outfit! Sophmore Gen Spanarkel says, “Aldo is my favorite shoe store. I get most of my sandals and boots there.” Taylor Jenkins says, “Havaiana flip flops are the best you could get, I always have a pair. They range from 17-30 dollars.”
It is said that you’re happiest when he/she likes what you’re wearing. Voted Best Style for the Class of 2012, Kristen Polan said,“Wear what you’re comfortable in – keep it classy!”
