Billy Talent, Rise Against, Nirvana, Muse, Metallica, System of a Down, The Killing Tree, Rage Against the Machine. Famous bands? Correct. But it just so happens that these famous bands inspired a hardcore/grunge band at WHBHS that goes by the name of Infringing Society.
WHB students Dylan Nill, Juan Herrera, and Rourke Sekelsky started playing together almost two months ago. Now the only thing that this band needs is a lead singer! They are pretty confident that they have found one though so pretty soon we will be hearing about this mystery boy.
Juan, a senior, plays the guitar while Junior Dylan plays bass and freshy Rourke rocks out on the drums. If it weren’t for a twist in events, these boys wouldn’t even be in this “Infringement of Society.”
“Originally Rourke and I were going to be in a band with another friend but we didn’t all agree on the type of music. So Juan was recommended to us by our friend Joe and when I approached him about it, things basically fell into place,” Dylan shared.
At the moment the boys practice at home but Dylan’s brother Corey Nill is trying to get them into shows and they plan on entering the Battle of the Bands.
Infringing Society is definitely a band that would be good on the radio. Who knows, you might hear them one day when you’re driving on the road. Until that day comes though check the boys out on YouTube at www.youtube.com/InfringingSociety.
Don’t get too into the music; could get a headache from all that head banging!
