Twin Day: a day where one is able to dress up like others and pretend that they actually look like. For at least three years in a row, Spirit Week has had some form of Twin Day.
Mrs. Cardo, former Student Government advisor, says, “Twin Day is super popular. As long as I’ve been around it has been a day.”
Should we keep the tradition around?
Most students enjoy being able to dress up with friends. It is a time to show how crazy some friendships are. Lauren Lorefice said, “I think Emi Osaki and Lizzie Goldfarb had the cutest Twin Day outfits this year.” These two were dressed up as Superman; their outfits included high socks, the Superman symbol on their shirt, and blue, red, and yellow lines decorated their faces.
Laura Halsey, Sarah Strebel, and I all dressed up together. This year we wore crazy shirts with cats in bandanas raving. Laura Halsey says, “We feel as though the cats on our shirts were our spirit animals.”
The Hurricane spirit is always shown throughout Spirit Week! September 25, 2013, was a successful Twin Day for the 2013-2014 school year, and I think it should stick around.
