“My first job was on Saipan, a small island near Guam, where I taught special education and I lived there for three years. Students there were from all the small islands in an area called Micronesia. It was a great experience where I learned how to be a teacher and got exposed to different cultures and got to travel throughout the Pacific Ocean.”
