Top Places to Visit on Long Island this Summer

Although this summer of 2020 may be different than the rest, there are still plenty of places to safely visit.
Parrish Art Museum

NOFO donuts
For those of you with a sweet tooth this place is perfect. Located in Mattituck it is a small shop with big donuts. They have all types of flavors from plain strawberry to cereal donuts. Every week donut specials are offered along with everyday donuts. Take a-drive on a nice day and enjoy some yummy donuts! @nofodoco
Fire island
If you are looking for the perfect getaway over the summer (besides the Hamptons), Fire Island has lots of beaches and shops to visit. You can make a day of it or even stay with friends and family at a rented house. If you want new scenery hop on the ferry and go to Fire Island. @fiferries

This Long Island favorite is located all over the Island, from Montauk to Manhattan. They are known for their amazing italian ices in many different flavors. They also have regular ice cream as well as drinks. Come here for a yummy and refreshing summer treat! @ralphsfamous

Looking for a yummy treat by the water? This food truck has it all. Enjoy a meal in East Moriches right on the water with friends and family. This truck is located at Silly Lilly fishing Station but is owned by Stone Creek Inn. They have everything from tacos to fries to lobster rolls. @sillyeatsfoodtruck
Montauk Lighthouse
Located the farthest out east on Long Island, the Montauk Lighthouse is a destination worth going to. Drive out to this peaceful spot with a beautiful view. You can even go into the lighthouse all the way to the top for an even better view. It is the perfect summer spot to visit as it is on the water. @montauklighthouse
Jones Beach State Park
Recognized one of the best beaches on Long Island, Jones Beach has boardwalk with many shops and restaurants. If you’re looking for a new beach spot to try this summer this beach is definitely an option. @jones_beach_ny
Coney Island – Luna Park
Although this is located in Brooklyn it is also worth the drive. It also has a huge boardwalk with many rides. It is a must-visit destination at least once in your lifetime. The food is yummy and the rides are fun. It is also home of the famous Cyclone roller coaster. @coneyislandfun
Lavender by the Bay
Located in East Marion, wander around in fields of lavender and take a few photos. There is also a little shop where you can buy lavender themed products. This spot is perfect on a sunny day. Be sure to check their instagram to see if lavender is blooming. @lavenderbythebay
