During the month of October, people gather together and celebrate the fall season. Parties are thrown, and scary movies are on repeat until halloween night. But there are other ways to celebrate. Every year, from September 13th to October 27th both Six Flags and Busch Gardens host a Fright Fest. This adventure includes a nonstop scream fest.
In Busch Gardens, Virginia, the annual Howl-O-Scream is promised to be bigger than ever. Everyday after 6pm, Busch Gardens creatures come to life. In fact, it is so scary that young children are encouraged to stay home. According to the Busch Gardens website, “Guests are advised to consider the park’s elevated scare factor when deciding to visit Busch Gardens with young children during Howl-O-Scream.”
Each country has their own “Terror-tory,” which is the parks normal village that’s transformed into a haunted village. Ripper Row is located in England, Vampire Point is in Germany, Demon Street is in France, and Ports of Skull is in Italy. The admission to the Howl-O-Scream is included in an all-day park admission which is $72.
Six Flags Great Adventure hosts their own scare fest entitled Fright Fest. It is located in New Jersey, which is only a two and a half hours away from WHB. It also has attractions that are designed to frighten. Each attraction is presented by a brand such as Dunkin’ Donuts, 3 MUSKETEERS, and Milky Way.
This year, Six Flags added their own Terror Trail. This trail is in complete darkness. Circus thrills, music showcases, and parades are just some of the things that happen at this park. Six Flags Fright Fest starts at 6pm, with a park admission of $67.99 per person.
If you aren’t up for a travel, camp Pa-Qua-Tuck is holding their annual Spooky Walk, which has been going on for over 25 years as a fund raiser for the camp! Thousands of people attend per year! The Spooky Walk started on October 18th and will end the 26th!
