Junior Prom Just Around the Corner

Westhampton Country Club

Junior prom is right around the corner at WHB! Juniors are preparing for their special night at Westhampton Beach Country Club on April 28.

As the prom approaches, excitement levels are rising. Junior Amelia Tozzi said, “I’m most excited to see my friends and take pictures with all of them.”

To make sure you are sitting with your friends, submit tables of 10 to Mrs Luciano by April 6 or you will be assigned one.

Along with seating arrangements, juniors are working on their outfits. The traditional dress for Junior Prom is short, however, this year there’s a shift in style. Long dresses are in! Junior Brynn Reilly said, “I’m wearing a long white dress with a slit with ruffles on the side.”

It is important to note that you should wear whatever you feel confident in, no matter what length it is. To see what other students are wearing go to @whbjuniorprom23 on Instagram.

While prom itself is exciting, there are rules that accompany the fun. Be aware that students must be in school the whole day on April 28 to attend prom. A junior class meeting will be held at the last 15 minutes of the school day to pick up their tickets. Afternoon BOCES students can see Mrs. Luciano before they leave to get tickets. Mrs. Luciano said, “Some other rules to note are: you cannot chew gum at the prom, make sure you check in with your table that night, and you have to take the bus to and from the prom.”

Most importantly, have fun and enjoy the special night!
