Ever wondered what it would be like to have a twin? Another you, a person you will always have to be with, who looks like you?
Twins Sam and Taylor Oudeans don’t have a choice. They are always with each other, and some times they will act like best friends and other times enemies. But once you really get to know them you can tell that they obviously love each other and are happy to have each other.
When asking Sam and Taylor what it was like having a twin they both agreed that it could be “annoying” at some points. Taylor says, “It’s sort of fun but sometimes it’s stressful, especially because we have the same friends.” Sam answered, “It’s fun – its like you’re never alone, you always have that one person there for you.”
They have the same friends and always end up having to hangout with each other. Jessie Fieldman and Megan Tanis both said, “It’s a little rough at times you can’t just choose one to hangout you have to hangout with both.”
Sam and Taylor are identical twins so it may be hard to tell them apart, but once you get to know them, it’s easy to see the differences. Sam said, “We have the same interests and hobbies and we both like to make people laugh.” Sam also added, “We are also different because I am very nice and kind and Taylor can be “stubborn” at times.”
Taylor says, “Sam is really hyper and talks a lot and has a lot to say and it can be annoying sometimes, but we are similar because we both have the same sense of humor and we have the same friends.”
Jessie said, “They definitely don’t have the same style, but they both have the same sense of humor!” Megan added, “They have different personalities but they do the same things and have the same interests!”
Sam and Taylor can both agree that having a twin has its ups and downs. One of the upsides they said of having a twin is “it’s like having a best friend that will always be there for you 24/7 no matter what, someone that you can trust anything with.” They both said that one of the downsides is, “sometimes constantly being with each other can be frustrating because we can get sick and tired of each other but we make up 5 minutes later!” They both agreed that when they really can’t stand each other they go and hang out with their older sister Katelynn.
They might get on each others nerves and fight, but in the end they most definitely are each others’ best friends!
